Slash plans Sebastian Bach collaboration

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash is planning a collaboration with Sebastian Bach.

The Skid Row vocalist told Billboard that the project sounded "mind blowing", but claimed he was sworn to secrecy about the details.

However, Bach insisted that he would not be acting as a replacement for fired frontman Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver.

Bach said it would be too "awkward" because of his close friendship with Slash's former Guns N' Roses bandmate Axl Rose.

Fiddler's Green were formed in 1990 in Erlanger and were major players in Germany's folk-rock rebirth of the early and mid '90s. They perform a residual of traditional Irish songs and original compositions in a expressive style sometimes redolent of the Pogues and Oysterband only they besides add twists of ska and nods to Johnny Cash and Tom Waits. They helped spawn many corresponding German bands like Tapsi Turtles, Paddy Whack and In Search of a Rose.

Their first tercet albums Fiddler's Green, (1992) Black Sheep (1993) and King Shepherd (1995) were quite consistent Celtic rock collections featuring particular playing by fiddler Tobias Rempe and accordionist Stefan Klug coupled with Peter Pathos' cracking original songs and intricate vocal harmonies. On and On (1997) was their first major label expiration and likewise marked the get-go signs of a more than rock oriented sound for Fiddler's Green. Eagles extend 'Long Road' trip

The Eagles [ tickets ], who kicked off the North American leg of their "Long Road Out of Eden World Tour" earlier this month, have added several more dates to the itinerary since last check.The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have tacked on a third show at New York City's Madison Square Garden to finish out the month, after which they'll skip into July with a newly added gig in Philadelphia and a three-night stand in Toronto. The tour now stretches into September, when the Eagles will play two nights in Chicago. An updated itinerary is listed below.The band is supporting its first new studio set in 28 years, "Long Road Out of Eden," which debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 in November and has since been certified seven-times platinum. The lead single, "How Long," earned the Eagles their fifth Grammy award, and the follow-up, "Busy Being Fabulous," is currently holding the No. 15 spot on the adult contemporary chart.On the road, bandmates Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit are also mixing in a good dose of their classic hits, like No. 1 singles "Hotel California," "Heartache Tonight," "Best of My Love," "One of These Nights" and "New Kid in Town."The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide since the early '70s. Their "Greatest Hits 1971-1975" is the best-selling album of all time in the US.

Sean Bean marries for fourth time

Actor Sean Bean has married for the fourth time today, at Marylebone Register Office in London.
The 48-year-old 'Lord of the Rings' star reportedly married 29-year-old Georgina Sutcliffe in a low-key ceremony.
The couple originally intended to marry last month but cancelled 24 hours before the big day, citing "personal reasons".
A small group of guests joined the couple for today's ceremony, including Bean's three daughters from previous relationships.

Oscar Wilde - Fascinating Fact 5336

British newcomer BEN BARNES is set to head from Narnia to OSCAR WILDE's England for a new movie adaptation of THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY. Barnes, who plays the lead in hit new film The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, will play the age-defying Gray in the new drama.
